Ecogee launches 2026 ESG Report

Ecogee has launched its 2026 ESG Impact Report, highlighting the difference our work has made to homes, people and communities across the North West during 2025/26.

Over the past year, we generated £1.69 million in social value while completing retrofit improvements to 382 homes. These works are helping residents live in homes that are warmer, healthier and more energy-efficient.

A charity close to our hearts this year the support we provided for Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity and Centre 56. At Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Ecogee team and our supply chain partners helped improve spaces used by families receiving specialist care and those supported by the Honeysuckle Bereavement Service.

Creating opportunities for local people

In 2025/26, we engaged 1,790 pupils through careers events, school programmes and employability activities. By introducing young people to careers in retrofit, renewables and construction, we are helping to raise aspirations and build the skills our industry will need in the future.

Our colleagues also delivered 82 volunteering hours in support of community initiatives across the region. From preparing care packages to creating practical new spaces for community organisations, our teams used their time and skills to make a lasting difference.

Keeping investment in the North West

Supporting local businesses is an important part of our approach. During the year, 96% of our supply chain spend was invested with SMEs, while 90% of our supply chain was based in the North West.

By working with trusted local partners, we can support jobs, skills and sustainable economic growth while ensuring more of the value created through our work stays within the communities we serve.

Reducing our environmental impact

This year, an environmental consultant analysed our Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions, helping us set realistic carbon-reduction targets for our 2026/27 ESG strategy. With fleet and travel accounting for 89% of our measured emissions, this will be a key area of focus as we work towards the St Helens Borough Council objective of reaching net zero by 2040.

Recognising our people

Our achievements are made possible by the people behind them. Ecogee holds a three-star Best Companies rating and continues to support colleagues through flexible working, enhanced family leave, additional development opportunities and a wide range of employee benefits.

More than 40 Spot Awards were also given to colleagues during the year, recognising people who went the extra mile and demonstrated our values of teamwork, ambition, dynamism and high performance.

“None of this happens by chance. It is down to the passion of our colleagues, the strength of our partnerships and the support of our stakeholders.”

Gill Kelly, Managing Director at Ecogee
