What Is ECO4? 

ECO4 is a UK government scheme that helps people make their homes warmer and cheaper to run. It stands for Energy Company Obligation. 

If you live in the North West and your home is hard to heat or your energy bills are high, ECO4 might be able to help. 

Who is eligible for ECO4?: 

You may qualify for free ECO4 energy upgrades if: 

• You’re a homeowner or private tenant 

• Your household has a low income 

• Someone in your home is vulnerable (like elderly, long term health issues or disabled) 

• Your home has a low energy rating (EPC rating of D, E, F or G). 

• You receive certain government benefits (see below).

Not sure of your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating? You can check it online for free if you live in Scotland, or if you live in England or Wales.
