Ecogee has been shortlisted for the second time at the North West Energy Efficiency Awards 2025, for ‘Regional Large Scale Project (>£250k) of the Year’ for our SHDF Wave 2 works with Cobalt Housing.
This project enhanced the energy efficiency of 270 properties, with a combination of measures including external wall insulation, solar panels, loft insulation and smart heating controls.
Successfully delivered Key subcontractors; Northern Scaffolding, Peak Solar and Gaia Energy and working with our fantastic suppliers including Solen energy.
Financed through the grant funding workstream SHDF Wave 2 Funding, Ecogee won the £4.7 million contract with Cobalt Housing to install energy-efficiency measures at 270 homes across North Liverpool.
We’ve had lots of positive feedback from happy residents who now have warmer homes and hopefully cheaper bills thanks to improved energy efficiency and a reduction in the carbon emissions associated with each property.
One resident, Kim shared:
“I can’t believe the work has happened so fast. John the site manager was great, he made sure the team cleaned up after themselves, and it was spotless. They were all lovely lads. John knew I had lost my dad and made sure the lads kept everywhere tidy for me, and that I was alright. I was worried about my wallpaper and my floor because I loved it. John reassured me they would look after it, and even put down special covers to keep the floor safe. Thank you Ecogee!”
