From cold paws to cozy corners, Spot told us all about the work Ecogee did in his humans house.
Here’s a real story, told from a very good boy’s point of view!
“You don’t always notice how heavy the cold feels – until it’s gone.
I used to curl up but struggled to stay warm. My human wore jumpers indoors, and the kitchen? Falling apart. Damp floors, drafty corners, and the garden path turned into a puddle playground every time it rained. Not fun for paws. Then came Ecogee…
It started with a knock at the door. A kind man with a badge explained everything to my human.
A few weeks later, the house was buzzing with friendly faces and tools. From November 19th to December 22nd, they worked their magic, just in time for my favourite day of the year; Christmas leftovers under the table!
In between belly rubs and ear scratches, they did some things to the house:
- Insulated our loft and walls – no more chilly corners!
- Installed shiny solar panels – perfect for sunbathing.
- Built Mum a brand-new kitchen – I can smell dinner again!
- Laid new floors and garden flags – dry paws, finally!
- Cleaned up every day – even made sure the cooker and washing machine were working before they left.
One day, Mum had to go to the hospital. The team rescheduled everything without a fuss. They were kind, tidy, and always made sure we were comfy. My human says it’s changed her life. I say it’s made our home feel like home again. And the best part? With lower energy bills, there’s more money for treats!
I love our new home! It’s so cosy and warm, even when it’s chilly outside. My human says it’s because of something called ‘energy efficiency’… I don’t know what that means, but I do know that our house stays warm without those noisy heaters. Plus, I get to snuggle up in my favourite spot without feeling cold drafts.
Thank you, Ecogee. You didn’t just fix a house – you gave us back our cosy.

“Before I had the work done the house was really cold, since the insulation has been done, we can feel the difference. We also had damp in the hall and that’s been fixed. It’s impacted my life a hell of a lot, it’s made it much warmer. We’re not putting the heating on and having to leave it on. It’s lowered my energy bills; I can turn off the heating and for hours after it’s still warmer!”
