World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day takes place every year on the 10th of October, and it’s recognised across the UK and globally. This October, we’re joining the national conversation around mental health, and we want you to be part of it! 💚

We’re a small team with a big heart. As part of the Regenda Group, our work is rooted in social value, and that includes looking after each other. Working in the construction sector, we see how important it is for everyone in our sector to have access to good quality mental health support.

We believe mental health support should be easily accessible and judgment-free within the industry and in our teams.

Trained Mental Health First Aiders

Our lovely team of trained Mental Health First Aiders are here to listen, support and help signpost to professional help.

We caught up with one of our Mental Health First Aiders and Senior Compliance Officer Mark Watkinson to hear why the role matters:

“Being a Mental Health First Aider gives me the opportunity to give a voice to those experiencing poor mental health in the workplace… In recent years, employers have come a long way. It’s something we’re learning to accommodate, understand, and support. That shift has helped really people feel safer at work.”

Here’s a quote we love:

“Never give up on someone with mental illness. Only when the ‘I’ is replaced by ‘WE’ does illness become wellness.”

Hub of Hope App

To make support even more accessible, every Ecogee work device comes pre-installed with the Hub of Hope app. It’s a free, nationwide directory of mental health services. Whether on site or on the move, help is just a tap away.

What you can do this month:

Mental health isn’t just a topic for one day or one month, it’s something we all carry, every day. This October let’s make space for real conversations, kind check-ins, and the reminder that you’re never alone.
