Meet The Team

We currently employ more than 60 members of staff at our Aintree Headquarters, all living locally in Merseyside.

In addition, Ecogee works with, and supports, over 50 local subcontractors and small businesses. We endeavour to source all materials locally where possible.

Gill Kelly

Managing Director

Gill became the MD for Ecogee in 2023 alongside her role as MD for M&Y Construction and Maintenance. With a collaborative and commercial attitude, Gill has grown the businesses to ensure with every service we deliver, the customer is at the centre.

A proud ambassador for Women in Construction and maintenance, Gill works tirelessly to promote careers in the sector to young people.

Ecogee has a social heart and generates profit for purpose. Delivering tangible social outcomes though charity donations, work placements and improving the environment through the retrofit work to homes; contributing towards Net Zero 30.

Brendan Helm

Business Development Director

Brendan has over 30 years’ experience within the construction and the energy sector. Brendan formed the company in 2012 following 10 very successful years within the construction company MITIE. As an operations manager he was responsible for delivering over £50M worth of works across the Northwest as part of the decent homes scheme. Married with two children, Brendan’s main loves in life as well as his family, are Golf, Football and the Algarve.

Maria O’Connor

Operations Director

Maria has more than 15 years of industry experience and has worked in many senior roles in the construction industry.

Maria heads up our grant funding workstreams, including Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), Local Authority Delivery (LAD), Home Upgrade Grant (HUG) and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the business. She ensures everything runs efficiently, smoothly and in alignment with our overall goals and objectives.

Jamie Preston

Head of Operations

Jamie is responsible for all external wall projects, new builds, and our social housing contracts, Jamie has been involved in the construction industry for over 25 years ranging from civil engineering projects to full fit out turnkey developments. He is qualified at a HNC level in construction which he achieved at Liverpool John Moores University. Outside of work Jamie loves to travel and is a keen cyclist.

Marc Goudie

Head of Decarbonisation

Marc has been involved with the Governments Energy Companies Obligation scheme and has overseen more than £50M pounds worth of energy saving measures being installed in the North West as well as building excellent working relationships with various energy companies and local authorities. In his spare time Marc is a keen runner, guitarist, Evertonian and in his words a “scholar of life” as well as a dad to young Jack and a step-dad to both Faye and Neive.

Anne-Marie Robertson

Head of Planning & Compliance

Anne-Marie has been involved with the Government’s Grant Funding schemes for the past six years.

She leads the retrofit compliance process from cradle to grave and works alongside the client on DENSZ submissions across all contracts.

Currently, Anne-Marie is undergoing a leadership course with The Regenda Group, which Ecogee is supporting her with.
