Ecogee have been collaborating with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) working on retrofitting homes across the Liverpool City Region. After LCRCA were awarded funding by the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero in 2023 for the home improvements programme, Home Upgrade Grant 2 (HUG2), our work together began. 

HUG2 is a government-funded grant scheme that provides eco upgrades and low carbon heating to eligible homes!  

We chatted with Simon, Emma from LCRCA and Kath’s about the difference HUG2 has made to her home:

“It’s made a difference socially, emotionally, mentally, physically, on every level of life. It’s completely changed my life.” 

It was lovely to hear about Kath’s positive experience with the Ecogee team: 

“You can tell they’re skilled at what they’re doing and they’re doing a thorough job and they’re keeping me informed as they go along. It was a thoughtfulness and a carefulness which I found that really reassuring.” 

Kath spoke about how much Ecogee have helped her:  

 “I’ve got a file with all of my Ecogee things in, I’ve got a little heart sticker on it because I love Ecogee!” 

“I feel incredibly lucky to have had the work done, to have had it done by people who have been wonderful, interested, engaged, skilled and efficient… they were prepared to answer my questions, to simplify things, to show patience and really go beyond.”
