Ecogee at Energy Efficiency Awards

Ecogee crowned a winner at North West Energy Efficiency Awards 2025

Ecogee has won at the prestigious North West Energy Efficiency Awards 2025!

Our SHDF Wave 2 project, delivered in partnership with Cobalt Housing was crowned as the Regional Large Scale Project (>£250k) of the Year! The work enhanced the energy efficiency of over 270 properties to EPC C. Implementing a collection of measures from external wall insulation and solar panels to loft insulation and smart heating controls, ensuring the homes we work in are now warmer, more energy efficient, and ready for a net zero future.

Across all 270 homes, every square meter that we improved is expected to save approximately 62,100 kilowatt hours of energy each year. That’s like planting roughly 650 trees!

Delivered under a £4.7 million contract, this initiative was made possible through the hard work of our dedicated expert teams, key subcontractors and collaboration with partners at Cobalt Housing:

Ian Hancock, Executive Director of Property at Cobalt Housing, said:

“Over coming years, we will invest over £100 million into our homes and by 2030, 100% of our properties will achieve Energy Performance Certificate C.

In 2023, we appointed Ecogee to deliver a £2.7 million investment programme to improve the energy efficiency of our homes. Their customer focus, professionalism and understanding of social housing has ensured the successful delivery of this project. Together we are reducing carbon emissions and customers’ energy bills, ensuring that homes are warm and comfortable.”

We’re equally proud of the commendation in the National Fuel Poverty & Vulnerable Customer Support category! Recognition for providing exceptional support to our most vulnerable customers. Our dedicated team has demonstrated time and again that our work isn’t just about retrofitting properties, it’s about restoring comfort, dignity, and safety for those who need it most. From assisting individuals like Alice and Katie, who endured years without hot water, to helping Bill reclaim a sense of security in his home, our commitment to tackling fuel poverty is at the heart of everything we do.

Maria O’Connor, Operations Director shared:
“We’re dedicated to enhancing energy efficiency while delivering real, lasting social impact. The team had a great time at the awards show and celebrated this fantastic win! Working with Cobalt Housing on this project was a real pleasure, we’re excited to keep supporting our communities with the same care and commitment in the future”
